BG Hospital Ludwigshafen
As a trauma specialist clinic of maximum care, the BG Hospital Ludwigshafen substantially contributes to the medical care in the industrial agglomeration Rhine-Neckar and far beyond its borders. From prevention to outpatient and inpatient treatment, through to rehabilitation, the clinic provides cross-sectoral medical care from a single source.
The main areas are trauma surgery and orthopedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as hand and tumor surgery. The hospital also boasts one of Germany’s most modern centres for surgical treatment of severe and severest burns, and a clinic for radiation casualties. Since 1997, the BG hospital has undertaken research and teaching, and the treatment of patients in trauma, hand, plastic and burn surgery for the Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg and their respective university hospital.
