BG Hospital Bergmannstrost Halle
The BG Hospital Bergmannstrost is among the most modern trauma centres in Germany. Bergmannstrost covers the areas of Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia. As special facility for trauma, burn and spinal cord injuries, Bergmannstrost is equipped with a paraplegic treatment centre, a neurocentre, as well as a centre for septic surgery. Patients receive state-of-the-art interdisciplinary medical care.
Close cooperation of acute care and rehabilitation at the earliest possible date shape every area of treatment. Occupational rehabilitation and reintegration into the patient’s professional and living environment are matters of top priority. The motto of the BG Hospitals is: “Healing and helping using every available resource”. In 11 specialist clinics, on 18 wards with 560 beds in total, roughly 1200 caregivers, physicians, therapists and employees provide for the well-being of the patient 24 hours a day. Approximately 14 000 patients can receive inpatient, and 33 000 outpatient treatment every year, whether publicly or privately insured.
