Clinic for Neurology Stroke Unit and Early Rehabilitation

In the Clinic for Neurology with Stroke Unit and Early Rehabilitation, we treat patients dealing with the whole scope of diseases of the peripheral and central nervous system. This includes diseases of the brain and spinal cord resulting from injuries, infections, circulatory disorders or tumors, as well as metabolic disorders, irritation of the nerve roots and inflammation of the peripheral nerves.

The Clinic for Neurology works closely with Neuroradiology and the Clinic for Neurosurgery, forming together the Neurovascular Centre. An important focal point here is the treatment of strokes. As a nationally certified stroke centre, the Clinic for Neurology Stroke Unit and Early Rehabilitation responds to the wide range of needs of patients in the Berlin and Brandenburg areas.

In the neurological early rehabilitation, we employ physiotherapy, speech and ergo therapy, neurolinguistics, proactive nurses and doctors in the comprehensive treatment of acute cases. Experienced neuro-psychologists diagnose and treat failures in brain functionalities. Psychiatrists support the team to manage the disease.
