Central Pharmacy

Our experienced team of employees at the central pharmacy ensures that all our inpatients have access to the medication they need. The pharmacy staff visits the wards 2 – 4 times a week to ascertain what medication is needed. The pharmacy also supplies the OR and functional areas with disposable articles as well as suture and dressing materials. Geared toward the needs of wards and patients, this advanced, cost-effective supply system is the way of the future in terms of medical supply. It is mandatory for the drug commission to approve the selection of medication available at the hospital, amounting to 1000 generic drugs and pharmaceutical forms, as well as the hospital’s own medicinal products. The formula for 60 medicinal products that are otherwise not available on the free market as medication were developed in our pharmacy. The pharmacy at the Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin acts as a central pharmacy for other hospitals as well, providing medication, diagnostics, diet products, disinfectants, suture material and other special medical products. It answers the needs of about 1 600 beds.
