Central Laboratory
The accredited Central Laboraty at the Unfallkrankehaus Berlin is responsible for all the laboratory diagnostics of one of the most cutting-edge hospitals in Europe and the largest burn centres in Germany.The team, led by Prof. Dr. Michael Walter, also regularly accepts commissions from other hospitals in the region, Berlin regional authorities and private corporations. Its range of services cover all areas of cutting-edge laboratory medicine: clinical chemistry, coagulation, infectious diseases, immune haematology (including blood bank), cerebrospinal fluid, molecular diagnostics and microbiology. Competent partner laboratories complement our services by providing special examinations. We work in close collaboration with the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin in diagnostics and research.
